We're working on this (Doc's) old jeep and planning to use it as our tow vehicle - for when we get a travel trailer. We had just removed the old roll cage. Placed the new one (it's from a CJ7) to see how it would look. Next up - adding some brackets to make the body a bit more sturdy and then remove it. This isn't going to be a restoration - rather a build to make it better. It's a straight inline 6 - can tow about 4600 lbs

Brakes! Brakes! Brakes!

Pulling a trailer is easy... it's the stopping part that's important.

Upgrade the brakes to as big as you can make them. Trust me.

Awesom project.

Isn't that a Nash straight 6 like they used in the Rambler?

Hi. I'm new here.

Love an old/older Jeep. I currently have a 2006 LJ Rubicon and, growing up, my Dad had several CJ-5 and CJ-7s. College roommate had a Scrambler. I had a 2015 JKU and its just not the same.

Can't wait to see the progress.
