Ohana: Luau by the Sea, the Second One, is the second greatest, most action-packed, fun-packed, value-packed, that's a lot of packing, "biggest little event in tiki," second only to Ohana: Luau at the Lake! In addition to the Ohana Silent Auction, there will be the Ohana Gift Shop offering unique, fun, and collectible items to purchase and enjoy.
Just like items in the Ohana Silent Auction, all the proceeds from the Ohana Gift Shop will go directly to the Easter Island Foundation.
The Ohana Marketplace is officially open. Vendor applications will be reviewed and acceptance information will be sent at the beginning of July.
Help us help Easter Island by donating to the Ohana Luau at the Lake & Ohana Luau by the Sea Silent Auction! All proceeds of the Silent Auction will help us make another generous donation to our national charity, The Easter Island Foundation. You can read more about our 2015 donations here.
Every year we have a staggering array of items up for auction, from a host of generous donors, and we’re going to try to repeat that again this year at both Ohana Luau at the Lake & Ohana Luau by the Sea. Please let us know if you are able to donate an item. We’ll take anything cool & fun: mugs, jewelry, art, clothing, ephemera—last year we even had full-size bar and a Trader Vic’s tiki in the auction!
Note: Donations are tax deductible!!

You didn't think all this was just and excuse to throw a party and hang out at the Mai Kai, did you?
No.... Ohana, Luau by the Sea is a Party with a Purpose!
The Easter Island Foundation aims to build a solid endowment to assure the continuation of its projects, for example, the publication of the Rapa Nui Journal, the only scientific journal dedicated to Easter Island and our college scholarship program, which has assisted 37 students of Rapa Nui ancestry since 2002 with the annual cost of their education. Your contributions are needed and appreciated. Please join us in helping to preserve this unique isolated island, its archaeological treasures and its living culture.
While we were all having some fun we were also raising money for the E.I.F. through the Silent Auction. The generosity of our Sponsors helps very much as well, we couldn't do it without them. And all the money raised allows the F.O.M. to work with the E.I.F. to deliver more, and larger, scholarships to the citizens of Rapa Nui. Ohana, Luau at the Lake, Ohana Luau by the Sea, The Hot Rod Hula Hop, and the E.I.F. together have helped twenty one people attend college since 2010. And this year again there are TWO Ohana's, one at the Lake and one by the Sea, so next year's scholarship awards should be even bigger!
You can help us help them by shopping in the Ohana Giftshop located in the Ohana Marketplace. You can also bid generously on items in the Ohana Charity Auction. All of the monies raised in the Giftshop and Auction go directly to the Easter Island Foundation. Any profits from the event will also go to the E.I.F.
You can also help out by becoming a member of the E.I.F. We focus on the scholarship awards, but the organization does so much more and can always use a little more help.
Email us and we can get you a shipping address for your needs.
