All right, ya bunch of greasers, wrench monkeys and dime store hoods,

Welcome to the Moai Motorcade! Here's your space to talk about cars, automobiles, hotrods, '57 Chevys, pink Cadillacs, little deuce coupes, and pomade.

We'd also like for you to use this space for discussing and coordinating all of the "hot rod" aspects of the "Hot Rod Hula Hop 5". Flyers, other shows, Headhunters, Drifters, trophies, judging, prizes, dash plaques, shop rags and all that other crap. I'll start moving "hot rod" stuff from the HRHH forum over here so we can get to work.

All Fellow Moai can read this forum, but only "hot rod people" can post to it. Why don't we use the remainder of this thread as a roll call? If I've missed any "hot rod guys", just let me know and I'll add them to the user group.

Thanks,

CK

Pop here, along with his old car, I mean "our" old car.

I'll put some of the build pics up when I sort them out. This might be a fun spot.
A little grease and oil, a little cut and weld.
Some folks get bitten by it and some folks don't.
I got a real bad bite when I was very young and it was almost terminal.

Just wanted to compliment you guys on your rides! I have a couple that I will post as well. Thanks for having me! Here is what I am currently playing with.

1949 Mercury that sat unmolested in a garage in Lodi, New Jersey for over thirty years until we pulled it out. The chop was done in the mid 60's in North Platte, Nebraska. I have actually spoken with the gentleman who had the roof chopped. He still lives in North Platte, and he is in his late 70's. His dad traded two dairy cows for the car in 1966. The last picture was taken in the early 70's, when the car was finished the first time around.

Next is my 59 Ford 2 door Ranch Wagon. This one should be up and running within the next 30 days, although I have said that before. I'd like to be driving this to the Hot Rod Hula Hop. The last picture is what the interior will look like.
