How does the new app compare to Tiki+? I'm too cheap to upgrade, apparently.

Well for starters.... does not crash constantly on my phone. So that's important.

Also very convenient that you can track your bar inventory in the app and share it across several companion apps.

The new app is much better than the first. In addition to inputting inventory, it lists out drinks you can make, drinks missing one ingredient etc.

It also auto updates

I went from the Tiki+ to the Total Tiki app when the first was discontinued. I also have Martin's new and improved index of Cocktails &a Mixed Drinks from the first Golden Age of the American Bar.
The apps do communicate their inventories so they will tell you what you can make or need ingredients for. There is some good guidance as well in some of the recipes for making syrups or other ingredients.

Many of the books (Mr. Boston, Sippin Safari, Trader Vic's Bar Guide, etc.) have sections on setting up bars as well.

Y'all convinced me. I bought it. Now it tells me I can't make anything!!! Lol

I'm quite glad this thread was resurrected. I'm trying to set up my home bar,and between this and the Smugglers Cove book I've got LOTS of things to spend money I don't have on. :wowza:  :-?
