Hello All:

I'm new here, and just getting my feet wet in the forum. Are there any members from Charleston, SC? If so, chime in and say hello. I'd love to meet fellow tikiphiles, and we have a new tiki bar in downtown Chuck that's done it right.

Aloha! Welcome to our shores.

Charlestown is on my list of ports to visit. Our treeing walker couch hound was rescued from there after the floods. I hear it has some nice sailing waters.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'd don't get to sail often, but when the opportunity comes up, I always take it. The sailing is nice, especially in the harbor, and the views are beautiful.

Welcome to the Port!
I haven't been to Charleston in years but I am a bit of a sailor. I grew up sailing Sunfish, Hobies and Lightnings on Barnegat Bay, NJ and in college I used to sail a 42' Morgan to the Bahamas for spring break. Now I just motor around in a Mako and do a little diving when I can.

Aloha! Atlanta here. I have been wanting to go to Charleston and check out Rhum Bar and South Seas for some time now. The Atlanta Tongarikis may just have to schedule a road trip to Charleston! My husband (Wingman) and I are landlocked sailors on Lake Lanier with our 27 Catalina. If you are ever in Atlanta, let us know and we can show you Trader Vics and SOS, our local tiki bars.

Charleston is HIGH on my want to go list! Knowing it has actual tiki bars just raises the want factor! Welcome!

Aloha! I’m just up the road a bit in Durham, NC. We love Charleston. I didn’t realize there was a new tiki bar in town. Hmmm...once this polar vortex bomb cyclone winter thing passes, I think I will head on down. Cheers and welcome!

We got between five and seven inches. It was the third largest snowfall on record for us, plus, my HVAC died. On the bright side, the snow's starting to melt, and I can make it to my local tiki lounge.

Thanks Betty. Shoot me a line if you come into town, and maybe my wife and I can meet you at the tiki bar. I'd love to meet a Moai in real life.
