The Islands of the Fraternal Order of Moai

I would like to imagine that I am doing this right. I sure hope so, at least. I did read over the rules quite a few times. I guess it is most fitting to introduce myself. Some of you maaaaay have seen me around before; I like to poke around as much as I can. I just got back to Columbus after a good deal of travelling around and have always had a keen eye towards the FOM and figured it was time to start. I discovered this group way back in 2010 through Festiki II and absolutely fell in love with the concept. I did island living for quite some time and adore the surrounding culture. I am a practicing fire poi spinner, can manage a surfboard alright, and always fancy a little extra rum in my coconuts. I am set on learning how to carve tikis in the near future (no idea where to start) and am a surf music aficionado.

Aside from that, there is a good deal about me I would love to opine on, but I feel as though it is in bad form to write a small autobiography about myself in an initial post. I am excited to meet you all and can't wait to chat about or see you around town.

Aloha, Welcome to our shores and well introduced

I did I stint in St Croix till Hurricane Hugo destroyed everything keeping me there. I remember suffering "island fever" after my first year and was a bit put off at how very small the island could get socially. My job makes me pretty familiar with most of the Caribbean and I find it to be over-rated... I think if I had chosen the Hawaiian islands I would still be there. The mind set is more pure... for the most part.

So... Im very curiouis, what was your experience what Island/s did you set up on, why did you leave, what is your favorite island so far and why (This would probably go in chapter #3 of autobiography but I wanted to skip ahead... its an A.D.D. thing.)
