Okole Maluna. If by Bahia you mean the Trader Vic's version of a pina colada, I second that emotion. Coconut pie is also one of the very best food groups. Welcome aboard, and tell those of us who can't make it to Montreal about yourself. Favorite rum?

Yes, I adore the shaken to frothiness rather than blended to frozen Trader's Bahia.
I am originally from Atlanta my husband is a professor at the State University here in Plattsburgh, NY. We weren't able to make it down to Lake George this year on account of having recently given birth to our constantly smiling, knows no stranger baby girl. I spend my days with her and also teach the kindergarten class at the local Synagogue about once a week. Living on the Adirondack coast I tend to hike a lot. We also spend a fair amount of time in Montreal. We always thought we could be small town people but once we moved to a small town we became painfully aware we are city folk through and through.
As far as favorite rums go, I am madly in love with coconut rum (I like parrot's bay). I like to take it from the freezer and pour it over freshly fallen snow. Other than that I've never met a rum I didn't like. With the exception of course being banana flavored anything. I loathe bananas. Nothing can ruin a coconut cream pie faster.
