That's really amazing. I see you're only doing cash in person for the sale; if you've got leftovers, though, and want to work out a way for an FOM to buy and get it shipped, let us know!

The whole purpose of the mug exercise was to get real tiki folks through the front door so I insisted this first mug be in person only. But I am doing a second mug now and that will be more widely available.

THAT BEING SAID........ Bill,er FOM lodge fellow Bohemian is part of the triad of guys helping to keep the Bahi Hut on course, and I am sure he would pick up and ship to any FOM members--he has paypal, send him some shekels and he can get one for you.

As of this moment there are 10 mugs left. I did put # 50 on ebay to let the general public a crack at one.

I like that actually, I'm always more fond of a mug I went somewhere to get.

We repainted the front door this weekend. It was interesting to see the various colors underneath, all the way down to what was a natural brown wood finish to begin with. I was a little nervous taking the letters and spoon handle off the front door but all went off without a hitch. We have the fiberglass panels set to come out and go off for restoration, one at a time, starting mid-March.

Bahi Hut is getting a new roof this week, and the fiberglass panels are out getting fixed too. Next stop, relighting the gas torches on the sign

Robotiki,

So glad to see this happening. I need to make a trip back down there to see my alma mater and stop by to see your handy work. :)

Siesta Key Rum is partnering with us to bring better quality drinks to the Hut. Come taste our new Bahi Welcome or Cobra's Fang, both made with Siesta Key Rum.

The torches are lit! After years of not working, the iconic torches on our sign are flaming again! We have retrofitted our original torch heads with newer technology to make them light again. We still intend to do a full restoration of the sign, which will cost many thousands of dollars and will be quite an extensive project to begin next year. But the most important part is the torches flicker again!

So cool to see the progress, I love that the lamps flicker again :)

ROBOTIKI... continuously amazed at the rate of progress you are making !

Can't wait to stop traveling and get back in to see the new changes.

Lets talk about the fence when I get back !

How is the hunt for a bartender going ?

Not all the improvements at the Hut are sexy. They just put in a new AC. Long overdue, now it it much easier to chill in the Hut.

AC may not be sexy but ... anyone who has been to the Molokai during Hukilau knows... its a big deal!

How about we get a Sexy Bartender. I would be down for that. Honestly I would take a homely bartender. Hell... lets just find any bartender who can, you know, make a good drink and... tend bar and stuff.

Getting tired of Lou's Coconut Concoction.

You will be happy that they have hired 3 new bartenders and a server. Only one of those is female. Liz is gone. Working with some consultant bartenders to add more real crafted drinks and chip away at the cheap crap.
