It was such a pleasure hanging out with Ray Wyland at CATT 3. He had a great time at CATT, while going out of his way to mett and talk to several of us...about the event, about the FOM and about our love of tiki. In turn, his love of "tiki" is contagious and it did not take very long fir us to become fast friends.

Briefly, Ray Wyland lives in Seattle and has an online blog where he writes about all things TIKI. In fact, the tag line for this blog is, "Embracing the Tiki Lifestyle with Ray Wyland"

Today, he posted this link to my Facebook page. It is his write-up about the Fraternal Order of Moai. Honestly, I haven't seen any write up about CATT itself. If he posts one, I will make sure to repost it here. But, his article about the Fraternal Order of Moai presents such a sterling synoptic description (as an outside observer, mind you) of tikiphiles dedicated equally to fun, historic preservation, appreciation, and community service.

I must admit, I busted several buttons while reading Ray's article. I'm not going to lie, I am DAMN PROUD to be a part of this FOM-ily. I hope any tourist who reads this article understands how we pride ourselves on being multifaceted. We have fun, we wear fezzes (for a reason), we raise money and we proudly perpetuate "tiki!"

Fantastic article! Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to a CATT recap... It was truly "a marathon, and not a sprint".

Can you really recap something like CATT or Ohana or do you just have to experience it for yourself?
