Greetings all,

I can't remember where this was posted before, but here it is again:

Tiki Torch Brand is offering free products for evaluation to those who are Keepers of the Flame. If you go here and register (FlameKeepers) you can sign up and get a free item (torches this time, some times fuel).

Anyway, keep the fires burning bright!

(P.S.: I am in no way associated with this promotion or Tiki Brand, just wanted to let you all know).

You are supposed to write product reviews. I did get a pair of really nice glass torches. The review writing links didn't work when I tried to use them. They dropped me with a stern letter for not doing my homework.

I did get a pair of cool blue glass torches that have survived the year without rusting out. I even used the real Tiki brand fuel which keeps the wicks in better shape then the cheap stuff cut with diesel fuel that I normally use.

Uploaded by way of carrier pigeon.

I have participated in this for a while now. Tried out their three in one Tiki torch, a table torch, and a cleaner burning Tiki fuel last year. Well worth the time if you like to have a little fire in your outdoor spaces. As far as the reviews, provide them as quickly as you can. This makes them happy and keeps the products rolling in.

I have participated for a while as well and have reviewed a torch and two fuels thus far. When I got the email this morning I wanted to bring it to everyones attention so they could participate if they hadn't had the chance to yet.

I got some free fuel and wrote a glowing review (it did what it said on the tin!)

Then I got some party-city-looking tiki torches, and wrote a slightly critical review (thus honoring my duty as a Flame Keeper to evangelize about the tiki aesthetic.)

That's where it ended.

Interesting. I have provided constructive feedback related to a couple of the products. I would sign back up and see what happens. :)

How do you register? The website says that you need to have an invite with a link to click to register.

The link I posted took me directly to the registration/sign in page. I checked and no longer have my original email invitation but RumJourney should be able to help since he has his.

Thanks for the heads up. With spring rolling in soon, this seems like a fine time to test the waters.

Credit where credit is due - I just got a new Flamekeepers email and signed up for a 4-pack (!) of torches. I recant my earlier insinuation that they might just be "rewarding" good reviews. Viva Flamekeepers! :fez:

I received the bamboo tiki torch 4 pack for evaluation about 2 months ago. Nice extra was a bottle of insect repellent fuel. Tiki Brands does respond favorably to prompt reviews. You can take the initiative & submit them at the website or wait for an email with a link (well, usually there's a link--sometimes the email says there's a review link, but there isn't one). I don't think you get dinged by waiting for the email. I'm hoping they'll offer some of the new Flame King metal torches this summer. This model is 3 times the price of the bamboo ones, but SO much better. Worth the money! Bigger flame (almost never blows out), less fire hazard 'cuz they're all metal (I've had a few fully engulfed bamboo torch fires in my day--those can be exciting on a wood deck), lasts forever and the top fill is a breeze. I think the only difference between the prior model & the new ones is the new pole screws together in sections vs. being a solid long rod. Thus torch height now adjustable.

Just got the April order and opted for the Barbados four pack. I would have liked a table top option but wasn't offered one.

Last season I picked a 4-in-1 king tiki torch set and those are really nice but I'd like a less gaudy design if I was paying my own money.

I got my email this week and was given the option to pick one torch. I can't wait for it even though I don't have a yard to put it in!

It can be a bit random and jerrymandered. They are trying to get consumer reviews on each product. Hey, it feee stuff, right?

Interesting,
I got the email in January, received the torch and reviewed it but I never got an email in April.
Very odd.
