so...I have been trying to find it, but haven't had any luck... Under my name it says "Pie", all other ones it says "No Pie". I love pie, but I can share...what kind of pie do I have? (and more so, what does it mean to have pie?)

I have pie!

You have no pie, right now. But, when you see this, you will have pie!

If I recall correctly, having pie involves 3 little kittens finding their mittens...

Whether pie is visible or not, just know that pie is with you.
Pie lives within each of us, but it is up to the individual to reach his or her own pie potential.
Pie doesn't just happen.
Pie has to be nurtured and loved. Pie grows from the seeds of hope...bathed in the warm rays of mercy and watered with the golden showers of peace.

...yes, unfortunately the showers of peace are a golden color....don't blame me...I only report the news.

The point is, pie is there for you.
You might not see it, but close your eyes, calm your thoughts and let yourself feel the pie.
Become one with pie.

Pie is love.

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bitter sweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Certain as the sun
Rising birds will fly
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Now its time for pie.

I grew up with Mincemeat Pie...which my grandfather always liberally drizzled with Myers Dark Rum... as a kid it was a bit challenging, but now, the idea of Rum and Pie sounds like Home!
Anyone else making Mincemeat for Thanksgiving?

My Mom always Called it "Mousemeat" pie, probably to keep us from trying it though we never did have any mice in the house.

oddly this year I cannot find the usual mincemeat I have used for years...it is the concensed type in a small box.. I prefer this because I can make it extra boozy without watering down the pie. Amazon has it but I would have to buy a 12 pack...

I love mincemeat pie - but with no meat! I make an awesome vegetarian mince"meat" pie. I have found the secret ingredient that really makes it taste like mince to me is brandy. Let me know if you'd like the recipe.

All pf the recipes I have found this year require days or weeks to age the mince... Is yours ready without aging?
I always add brandy and rarely ever add meat...My Grandmothers did... I was thinking adding spiced rum this year for a change...something different...
Would love to see your recipe!

No aging! (I did see the condensed kind in a small box at the store today - "Nonesuch" - the brand I remember my Mom using. The box has a new look, so maybe you missed it!)

Combine in a small pot:
1 cup raisins
4 med. apples, cored and sliced (I leave the peel on)
1/3 cup apple juice

Then take 1 orange, scrub well. Juice it into the pot, and grate the whole peel.
Simmer it all in the pot until apples are very soft.

Stir in:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 Tbsp. plain brandy (you can use more if you like!)

Make a double pie crust - pour hot filling into the bottom crust; apply the top crust and slit. Bake 30 minutes at 450 degrees.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Pies are temperature independent. It's always time for pie.

Hence Eskimo pie and Tamale pie near ends of the spectrum.

Between the copious amounts of apple pie in the house and Beauty and the Beast on Netflix, I can't get this song out of my head.

I would dare say all of y'all are wrong as I don't see coconut cream on this chart.
