I made these for my party last week and totally forgot to put them out.

(For better or worse... :? )

And yes, they were delicious.

I haven't had meat in about 17 years and I'm afraid if those were put in front of me, I might have had to end that streak.

While bacon is the food of the gods, I am a slave to pancetta. It's like the cooler european cousin to bacon. Chopped pancetta grilled in a pan to release all the wonderful pancetta goodness (aka bacon fat), some cooked pasta, cracked pepper all topped with parmesan. Oh my.

I sat down at my sewing machine this morning and turned on the TV and Brian Boitano was making apple bacon tarts. Turns out the whole show had bacon in it. And I didn't even know he had a cooking show.

I will be making the apple bacon tarts and the bacon corn muffins with bacon cream cheese frosting VERY soon.

We bought this brand of bacon recently. Suffice to say that if bacon is the food of kings, then Wright brand is the king of bacon.

Which makes it the king of the food of kings. Which is totally awesome.

With this you can use your regular brand of booze and not have to buy the special stuff to get that good bacon flavored cocktail.

oh, now you've done it...you made me look at Archie Mcphee's!
Have you been to their store???? It will drain your bank account as you step through the door....

But it looks like they don't have bacon mints anymore???? I love my bacon mints!!! (and bacon floss, bacon air freshener, bacon band aids, bacon.....)

what about a bacon fez? Now that would be awesome!

Ok this is mostly for Bargoyle for his West Coast adventure (or any of the others headed this way), so if you get here early enough I will be glad to take you my friend! Its close to our house about 25-30 min. East of Donn's
http://www.slaters5050.com/menu

Below you will find the one of the menu pages which features the 50/50 burger 50% beef and 50% bacon, yes I said bacon! another favorite is the peanut butter and jealousy   on one of our recent visits I custom ordered a peanut butter, maple, bacon milkshake again  Truly a not to miss if your out this way. They also have custom order sheets so you can order a 1/3, 2/3, or 1 full lb. burger just about anyway you can imagine, and oh yea and they have about 50 different beers at all times :fez:
