The Islands of the Fraternal Order of Moai

Some pics to share with you guys.


A late night in the garage.


A real bad pic, but you get the idea.

After engine work, trans work, paint and final assembly we took a few pics. After the pics Helz took it for a test drive, no prob.

Then Pop took it for a test drive and then had to do all the body and paint work a second time. By accident, I put it through two neighbors' yards and tore out the electrical transformer for our housing area. It took a tow truck to get it out, since it was kinda stuck between the transformer and some trees. The city had to replace the transformer and it took a while to get the lights back on.

No pics of the finished car because I still don't like it.

I did this for a friend (at the time) so the car wasn't ours and the work was gratis.

It's been long enough now that I can laugh about it.
Those neighbors haven't like us since the potato gun thing anyway.

But it sure does make for a funny story all these years later

ah, neighbors. fuck 'em if they don't like it.

As I recall, that car was done about 15 years ago....

...and I think the neighbors are still pissed about the potato gun.
