49 is too young to go, no matter what you do. Roy was a great trumpet player, jazz, but also crossed into Pop on occasion. Grammy winner, considered the best of our generation (by many other than myself).

I'll never forget the time that I went to Fat Cat with Mike and Roy. It was right after they did a set at Small's... I don't remember if it was Roy's set and MIke was sitting in, or vice versa. Anyways, when we walked into Fat Cat, everyone was like "holy shit, it's Roy" ... He went up to the stand, started singing a bit of "Stella" then got on the piano. Eventually the band joined him. We stayed at FC until about 4 am, and walked to a greek diner to get blueberry pancakes. When we got out of the diner, I was like, this hang was heavy. And it was. Indeed it was.
