Whitney Houston was the proof to a theory I was developing.....

Body chemistry plays a huge role how someone smells, specifically when it comes to perfume. A bottle of perfume smells nice, but then smells very different after you have been wearing it for a few minutes. The same with Colognes for men, what comes out of the bottle smelling very manly can become overly musky very quickly.

The theory I have been working on is Ear Chemistry. I couldn't call it brain chemistry because there is another group already using that name and they sent me nasty letters when I tried to use it.

Anyway...

Ear Chemistry is the same as body chemistry, some things sound good to some ears, but not others. For example.... Nails on a chalkboard. Just the thought of it makes some people twitch in pain. Others, like myself, just recognize it as a disharmonious noise and move on.

Music is another great example of Ear Chemistry. Some people like Sinatra, but hate Rush. Both artists present well written lyrics accompanied by music well composed. I can put on a Sinatra Album and lure Andy in from any part of the house. If I put on the Rush Album she will be in her studio with the door closed and the tv on very loud.

All of which leads me to Whitney Houston.

I understand she has talent. I have read some of her music and heard other people sing her songs. Whitney's voice, however, is the proof to my theory of Ear Chemistry. Her voice is not compatible with my Ear Chemistry. I wold rather be set on fire, dragged burning through the brambles, and then doused with salty lemon juice than listen to that woman sing. Like the wolf in the trap I would try to chew my own ears off if it could prevent any more of her voice from getting through my ear-holes into the brain.

So... long story short (too late):

Whitney is dead. That is sad. And I am not going anywhere near the TV or the Radio for at least the next two months. When I quit seeing promotions for the Whitney Discography, Biography, True Story, Tribute to, Fundraiser for, basically when she shows up in the 'news' half as much as she has for the last six months only then will I relax while channel surfing the radio or tv.

What took her so long? I've been waiting for that headline since the 90's.

What is the over/under on how many people will post the link of Whitney singing the National Anthem to their Facebook accounts?

I don't know, but if I hear "I Will Always Love You" one more time, I am going to go on a booze and Xanax bender.

There is a difference between Whitney and Mariah....

Whitney had some talent. Not in her voice, but she still had some talent.

Mariah, however, has nothing but a nice ass. No talent, no voice, nothing but a nice ass.

I have some of the Lab Techs researching what would happen if we took the Time Machine back and erased Mariah from the current time-line. It's looking good so far, nothing that would cause any major issues, unless you like Latoya Jackson and the Cardashians.

another case of too much money, too much down time and too much ass kissing. Deadly combo... over and over. But ahhhh... just once I want to have that worry!

Wow, this is a tough crowd!

For my ears she had a beautiful voice, but she made some very stupid choices.

What Whitney does to Chips ears, opera does it to mine. :barf:

I did study on ear chemistry the other night and found that the more rum you drink everything sounds good to the ears we were singstar sensations..... The better news for the neighbors is for the next couple of days our throats need to be rested.

To me, it sounds better than a lot of music; such as that recorded by the subject of this thread.
