Sherwood Schwartz, the veteran television producer who created and wrote the theme songs for classic TV shows including The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island, has died. Great niece Robin Randall tells AP he died at 4 a.m. this morning.

Schwartz, who began his career writing jokes for Bob Hope, died of natural causes in his sleep surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Schwartz, and four children. He was 94.

I wrote a book report about Sherwood in the 10th grade. Some of my best work. A mai tai will be drank in his honor.

I've got The Brady Bunch in my DVD player right now - this is a sad day but is sounds like he had a full life. When I go out, I want to go out having raised a happy family and after having a long and fulfilling career, like him.

Bummer, but yeah, 94. Had a full life and gave a generation or more a whole bunch of great memories!

Thank You, Mr. Schwartz!

I'm still put out that most obits seem to be leaving out his best work, "It's About Time." Dang, I LOVE that show.

I still remember the day our parents put their foot down and wouldn't let us watch "Brady Bunch." It was on every evening at 7:30 and like crack for me. Yes, we'd seen them all 200 times, but it was still traumatic. That was over 30 years ago and I'm still upset!
