I'm really sad to hear this. The Golden Girls is one of my all time favorite shows.

And my favorite episode "The Commitments," features a pretty sweet Tiki Motel room. I can't see this video here at work but it looks like it will show the scene...I hope I'm right!

Yeah, that depressed me, too. The person who told me had been in a show with her about 40 years ago, so it was nice to hear his reminiscences.

I actually shed tears. We lost another true American classic. Only one Golden Girl still left with us. When Betty goes, I think I will be incolsolable.
On the upside, my friend Steve says that as long as I am alive, Blanche still lives and is among us. I told him that was one of the nicest things anyone ever said to me! lol Gotta love Blanche!! Rue may be gone, but we will always have Mother Superior, Aunt Fran, Blanche, and her numerous other roles to remember her by and to give us a smile.

I'm with you.

Last week I was watching Golden Girls and I thought, "these must be early episodes cause everyone was so young!". NOPE! I'M just older! How did THAT happen?!

So sad...they were something else, those Golden Girls. Yes, when Betty goes for the final bow, it'll be seriously heartbreaking. I used to work on all the Witt Thomas Harris shows post production, Golden Girls was just one of the collection I saw on a daily basis. I love them all!

RIP Ruth.
