Reunited for the first time in 10 years, the Space Cossacks are one of the top-selling bands of the 1990s surf music revival. The Washington, D.C. instrumental surf combo released two full-length CDs, 1998’s "Interstellar Stomp" and 2000’s "Tsar Wars," in addition to compilation-only tracks that included tributes to the Ventures, the Shadows and Link Wray. A retrospective compilation CD, "Never Mind the Bolsheviks," was released in 2005. Festiki is proud to be one of only two Midwest dates on the Space Cossacks’ 10-year reunion tour.

The Madeira

Nobody has ever seen his true likeness because he always keeps his face concealed, possibly because he is not a legal U.S. citizen. What we do know is Tyrd Fyrgysyn and the MasterXploders always deliver an intense show of instrumental cover tunes, from 1960s TV show themes to heavy metal hit songs, all in the Latvian surf style.
