The Kon-Tiki Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Moai formed in 2007 and encompasses Southwest Ohio, including Cincinnati, Dayton and Springfield. The chapter takes its name from the Kon-Tiki Theater, a Dayton movie theater that opened in 1968 and was renowned for its Polynesian decor.
